About
Established in 1994, we now have a base of over 400 customers to whom we provide pest prevention contract services, throughout Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire. Our trained technicians, who operate from our bases in Gisburn and Penrith, are skilled and experienced in all aspects of pest control work.
At Assured Environmental Services we provide a wide variety of pest control contracts, to an even wider variety of business sectors.
We are trained and insured to carry out sales and after sales care of fly killer units. These are mostly required by the food industry sector, but are used by many of our customers outside this field. We regularly carry out fly killer unit services in the areas of Accrington, Colne, Rawtenstall, Darwen, Haslingden, Blackburn, Clitheroe, Osbaldeston, Huncoat, , Brierfield, Skipton, Ribbleton, Wrea Green, , Chorley, Leyland, Ormsirk, Wigan, Nelson and Padiham. We advise that all fly killer units are serviced and have the tubes changed at least once per year.
We carry out rabbit gassing effectively and safely and have an ever increasing number of farms and agricultural customers, who know that we not only offer an economical price, but also an efficient and effective service. Our farms and agricultural companies requiring rabbit gassing are mainly based in the rural areas of Slaidburn, Trawden, Fence, Sabden, Stonyhurst, Chipping, The Lake District, Ingleton, Malham, Grassington, Penrith and Gargrave. We advise that rabbits should be controlled mainly in the winter months, as this has the greatest impact on their breeding numbers.
A regular problem for those companies based in small market towns, such as Bolton Abbey, Settle, Garstang, Kildwick, Longridge, Thornton, Barnoldswick, Cowling, Higham, Simonstone, Langho, Mawdesley, Chorley, Horwich, Ribchester, Penrith and also those within the vicinity of the sea, such as Halsall, Pinfold, Southport, Tarleton, Hesketh Bank, Longton, Fulwood, Saint Annes, Lytham, Inskip, Singleton, Blackpool, Fylde, Bispham, Cleveleys, Fleetwood, Pilling, Glasson and Morecambe can be birds roosting and nesting on properties. Assured Environmental Services offers a large variety of anti-roosting systems including anti-roosting spikes or bird spikes, netting and AviShock. At Assured Environmental Services we have our own very successful design of pigeon trap. This can catch dozens of pigeons in one set, meaning that is both extremely efficient and therefore economical.
Rodents, including rats and mice can be a problem to any type of business, at any time of year. Here at Assured Environmental Services we offer a pest control contract for many types of businesses based in both rural areas such as Goosnargh, Wiswell, Carlisle, Grassington, Flasby, Starbotton, Harden, Stainforth, Cracoe, Tatham, Whittington, Caton, Killington, Garsdale, and more urban areas such as Lancaster, Kendal, Leyland, Preston, Wigan, Chorley, Rawtenstall, Bury, Rochdale, Darwen, Bolton and Accrington. Last year saw a prominent rise in the amount of mice entering residential properties, largely due to the wet weather damaging the blossoms of seed and fruit bearing trees and shrubs meaning that most of the natural food sources for mice were not prolific at all and natural feed sources were and still are minimal.
We offer a made to measure service of manufacturing and fitting fly screens for both industrial and residential properties. The main types of business that require fly screens are those in the food and catering industry. These are usually sited in industrial areas such as Blackpool, Lancaster, Fleetwood, Preston, Burnley and Nelson, but also more and more small rural business parks are springing up such as Redhills near Penrith, Lazonby, Shap, Askham, Penrith, Appleby, Brough and Tebay. We recommend a flat screen fly screen with a stainless steel mesh and powder coated aluminium frame.
Assured Environmental Services offers a weed spraying service both to farms and SSSI’s, (Sites of Specific Scientific Interest). These are situated in areas such as Skipton Settle, Malham, Grassington, Penrith, Appleby, Brough and pretty much anywhere in the Yorkshire Dales National Park or The Lake District. Weeds such as Thistles, Nettles and Docks are usually controlled during April, May and June whereas Bracken is usually sprayed later in the year, around August.
